Twenty more cases of Omicron variant reported in Alberta on Tuesday

The province reported 20 cases of the Omicron variant on Tuesday, December 14 bringing the total to 50.

Overall, there were 250 new cases with a positivity rate of 3.9 per cent. 

There are 366 people in the hospital with 70 patients in ICU. 

Sadly, another eight deaths have been reported bringing the total to 3,283.

Cochrane dropped to 34 active COVID-19 cases and Rocky View County has 50 cases. 

Cochrane schools COVID status: 

Glenbow, St.Timothy, and Westbrook schools are all on alert status with 2-4 cases. 

There was supposed to have been a live COVID-19 update with officials on Tuesday but it was postponed to an undetermined time.
