Organized by vendors, for vendors, the market is held on 8 Street in Morden, between Stephen Street and North Railway Street. One of the organizers, Lorna Epp, shared what makes the market special is the sheer variety of vendors and product: “There’s fresh strawberries, there’s fresh vegetables, there is baking of every kind”.

“It has such a great vibe” shared Yolanda Friesen. It’s Friesen’s second summer selling bouquets of homegrown flowers at the market. “You get to meet so many different people, and it’s just a great opportunity for small businesses to be able to sell the things that they grow."

For Karen Friesen of Valley Field Acres, the goal of the market is simple: to bring fresh, good food and products to the community. “It is very satisfying to see people enjoy local clean fruits and veggies” shared Karen. “Keep your eyes open for interesting additional foods to your table.” Karen shared that the business is adding colourful cauliflower to their stock in the coming weeks. For her, growing and selling interesting vegetables like this one “makes life interesting”
