July 19th Report: 

IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act) 

Over the past 24 hours ten individuals were arrested for IPDA. They were released once sober. 

Warrants executed for Failing to attend Court 

In the past 24 hours four subjects were arrested on outstanding Warrants for Failing to attend Court.  Three of them were released with new court dates, while the fourth arrestee was held for Court the following day.   

Stolen Credit Cards 

While investigating a disturbance in Princess Park regarding an intoxicated and agitated person, police arrested a male for Breach of Peace.  A search of his person incident to the arrest, yielded 3 credit cards in other person’s names.  These credit cards were later confirmed to be stolen by the owners.  The male was held for Court the following day.   

Assault & Mischief Warrants 

Shortly after 10pm last night, police attended to the 700 block of 17th street regarding suspicious persons. Police located one of the males who was found to have outstanding arrest warrants for Assault X2, and Mischief X2.  The 44-year-old male was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of August 14th, 2025. 

Break & Enter suspect identified and located 

On July 15th police received a report from a business owner in the 100 block of 10th Street regarding the business being repeatedly broken into over the past few nights and approximately $4000.00 worth of musical instruments being taken. Through the use of video surveillance, police were able to identify the suspects. One of the suspects, a 37-year-old male, was arrested on July 18th and held for court the following day, while a Warrant of Arrest has been issued for the 2nd male suspect.  

Resist Arrest & Failure to Comply Release Order X6 

On July 19th, shortly after 1:00 AM, police observed a male riding a bike in the 1000 block of 7th St, who was known to be Wanted by BPS.  A stop was initiated but the male fled on the bike.  A short time later this male was found hiding in the 1400 block of 6th St.  The 31-year-old male was found to be breaching 6 conditions of his Release Order, including - curfew, no drugs, a must reside clause, and must wear an ankle monitoring device. The male was arrested and held in BPS detention cells for court in the morning on July 19th, 2025. 

Weapons and Resist Arrest 

At approximately 3:30AM, police were called to the area of 10th and Pacific Ave for a female with a machete chasing someone.  Officers arrived and the female hid her hands in her pockets refused to cooperate with direction. Once in custody she was found to be concealing a second knife and later determined to be on a Probation order with the condition “Not to possess weapons”.  She was held in BPS detention cells for court in the morning on July 19th, 2025. 

Breach of Peace 

  • Multiple different calls to a residence in the 100 block of 2nd St led to the arrest of a 20-year-old female who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance.  She was lodged in cells to prevent any further issues. To be released when sober. 

  

  • Just after 2 AM on Saturday, Police were requested to a licensed establishment in the 1000 block of 18th Street for approximately 5 people fighting in the parking lot. Once the dust was settled, one highly intoxicated male was found to be the problem. The 27-year-old male was lodged at BPS to be released when sober. 

  

  • Around 4:30 AM on Saturday, Police responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Princess Ave.  Officers determined that a 24-year-old intoxicated female was the issue.   She was held in cells to be released when sober. 

 

July 20th Report: 

IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act) 

During the past 24 hours, four individuals were arrested under the IPDA. They were released once sober. 

Breach of Peace 

During the past 24 hours, 10 individuals were lodged in BPS holding cells for Breaching the peace.  Five of these subjects were arrested by BPS and the other five were arrested with the assistance of First Nations Safety Officers. All ten [were] released once sober. 

Warrants executed 

In the past 24 hours two subjects were arrested on outstanding Warrants and both were subsequently released with new court dates.   

Weapon & Breach of Release Order 

Just prior to 9:00PM on Saturday night, police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Princess Ave with a report of two males in possession of a large knife.  The two males were related, and both were taken into custody.   One of the males was also found to be breaching his current release order with the condition “Not to possess any weapons”.  Both were held in BPS detention cells for court in the morning on July 20th, 2025. 

Break & Enter, Utter forged document 

On July 2nd police received a report from a business owner in the 1500 block of Braecrest Drive regarding their business being broken into overnight by smashing the front door.  The company safe was stolen which contained blank cheques. 

On July 19th, info was learned that a suspect had cashed one of the cheques which was written to his own name. The male was known to police, located, and arrested for uttering a forged document and possession of property obtained by crime. He was released in the AM on an appearance notice for court 2025-09-22. 

Failure to Comply Release Order X3 

On July 19th shortly after 2:00 AM, police were called to the 100 block of 2nd St for an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Officers attended and located the female who was known to police and is currently bound by a release order not to consume alcohol or be within 100 meters of the location where she was found and to have no contact with another person who she was with.
