UPDATE: The stretch of highway was reopened around 1:40 p.m.


A motor vehicle collision has shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 about three kilometres east of Highway 468.

The right lane is currently closed, and traffic is down to one lane.

The incident was first reported just after 8 a.m. this morning.

Drivers should expect delays in the area and use caution while crews respond.
