Several teams from southwest Saskatchewan have been participating in provincial tournaments this month.
11U AAA Tier 1
The Swift Current Nutrien Ag 57's got rained out in the semifinal of the 11U AAA Tier 1 provincials.
They beat the Sask Five Giants Seals 5-2, the Regina Wolfpack 20-16, and lost 14-4 to the Saskatoon Blue Jay Bucks in the round robin.
They were tied 2-2 with the Regina White Sox when the semifinal got rained out.
11U AA Tier 2C
A great run by Swift Current was cut short with a semifinal loss.
The 57's beat the Regina Outlaws 18-1, Saskatoon Blue Jay Dingers 15-0, and Saskatoon Blue Jays 19-0 on round robin action.
They then fell 5-2 to the Saskatoon Blue Jay Blazers in the semifinal and were eliminated from playoff contention.
11U AA Tier 5
Three southwest teams competed in the Tier 5 provincials. Neither was able to get to the gold medal game.
Gull Lake lost 9-6 to Quad Town, beat Eston 9-5, lost 13-8 to Tisdale, and wrapped the tournament with an 8-5 win over the Maple Creek Red Sox.
Maple Creek also lost 18-7 to Quad Town, 23-4 to Tisdale, and 10-4 to Eston.
Swift Current beat Kipling 9-7, fell 20-5 to Naicam, and lost 11-0 to Medstead.
15U AA Tier 2
Gull Lake made it to the semifinal, which is scheduled for Friday.
The Greyhounds beat the Saskatoon Braves 18-8, the Sask Five Generals 19-9, and lost 12-11 to the Saskatoon Prairie A's.
They play the Saskatoon Blue Jays in the semis.
15U AA Tier 3
A run all the way to the championship game for the host 57's.
Swift Current beat Unity 16-2, Carnduff 7-4, Battleford 7-1, and the Southern Aces 11-4.
The 57's then lost the championship game 11-1 to Watrous.
15U AA Tier 6
The Swift Current White Sox lost 11-7 to the North East Knights, beat the Saskatoon Royals Havok 21-7, and lost 12-7 to the Sask Five Giants Gotham.
They didn't make it to the playoff round.
