A 30-year-old woman accused of attempted murder had her bail hearing moved to next week during Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Tuesday.
Meagan Windover appeared via CCTV from Pine Grove Correctional Centre. She was represented by legal aid lawyer Zak Anderson, who appeared on behalf of his colleague Suzanne Lalonde.
Anderson told the court that Lalonde was seeking an adjournment because she was unavailable this week and wanted to speak to her client before running a show-cause hearing.
He added that a bail report was completed confirming a residence where Windover could stay if granted bail, as well as the availability of an electronic monitoring device. Anderson asked that the device be held until the hearing can take place.
Judge Brian Hendrickson allowed the adjournment until July 29, when the show-cause hearing is expected to proceed.
Windover was arrested on July 15 at a residence in the Lakeview Trailer Court following a police operation.
She is accused of taking part in a shooting on July 14 on the North Service Road. Police say a man suffered serious injuries from a gunshot wound. Along with Windover, a 17-year-old boy was also identified as a suspect in connection with the shooting.
Windover faces charges including uttering threats, failing to comply with an undertaking, mischief, taking a motor vehicle without consent, failing to appear in court, theft under $5,000 and attempted murder.
