“We have a few new additions in there this year that we're working on. They're not all going to be ready, but we're definitely working towards getting them there.”
Both Saturday and Sunday will kick off with a pancake breakfast at the Museum on Main Street at 8 a.m., before the Heritage Village opens at 11 a.m. This will include trade show vendors, a flea market, a live blacksmithing demonstration, and concession booths.
Sunday will include a church service at the Heritage Village at 11 a.m. followed by a barbeque at noon will open on Main Street benefitting the new swimming pool fundraising efforts; the Midale Classy Car Show & Shine will be open on Main Street as well. Mainprize, the Documentary will be shown at Midale Central School at 12:30 p.m. with another parade and threshing demonstration in the afternoon.
MgGregor says he looks forward to another year of celebrating Midale’s Heritage.
“It demonstrates our past and the history, not only around the area, but just in the agricultural world itself, and we've got a few donations from around the area, which is pretty interesting to see. We look forward to this every year as we get new people coming and people that show up year after year to show their support for us and what we do, so it's exciting.”
Midale’s Heritage Village is conveniently located next to the rodeo grounds, which will also be buzzing this weekend. The action begins on Friday night with the Bull Bash and Cabaret kicking off at 7 p.m.
It doesn’t stop there, as Saturday will feature the Midale Ranch Rodeo followed by the Truco Trick Riders, and Sunday will see Harvest Run Barrel Racing.
