Update 7:30 PM:

The WCBL has released the full video of Friday's game.

Hostilities started in the top of the 9th inning when 57's reliever Hunter Mark hit Berries outfielder, and Swift Current native, Ethan Murdoch with a pitch.

Tensions were boiling over as umpires warned both teams at the time.

Berries pitcher Alex Chumrau then hit 57's all-star catcher Luis Ayala in the bottom of the 9th inning.

The retaliation created further hostilities that escalated to the point where the players got into a confrontation off the field and away from the camera.

The league has yet to release any further details on disciplinary action as a result of the incident.

Original Story 1:00 PM:

The Swift Current 57's are back on the road to Medicine Hat tonight.

They're doing so without two members of their current coaching staff.

Head Coach Ruddy Estrella and Assistant Coach Shawn Lee were suspended by the WCBL following incidents between the 57's and Saskatoon Berries on Friday, July 25th.

“The league has determined the appropriate suspension for the involved players and coaches," said the 57's in a statement to Swift Current Online.  "The 57’s organization apologizes for the events during that game.

“The 57’s strive to provide a family fun experience. We’re sorry for the events that the Saskatoon Berries and the 57’s had during the game.”

Confrontations between the teams erupted after players for both teams were hit by pitches.

Swift Current Online has not been able to confirm the length of suspensions for the coaches or any specific suspension for players involved in the incident.

The box score for the game is also missing from the WCBL website.

The 57's announced that Assistant Coach Kenny Jinks and injured player Brody Alexandre will be guiding the club until the return of the coaching staff.

Swift Current is back home to host the Mavericks tomorrow night.
