It is with a mixture of sadness for us and joy for Ed that we let you know that Ed Sidebottom got to meet his Lord and Saviour, Jesus, on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Ed struggled with MS for the last 17 years as it slowly took his functions away…but it never took away his love for Jesus and we rejoice with him that he is fully healed and whole in Jesus’ presence now.
Ed will be missed by his beautiful wife of 53 yrs, Wendy (nee Wilson) Sidebottom; and their pride and joy, Murray (Sarah) of White City, SK; grandkids, Macy, Hailey, and Noah will miss the twinkle in his eye when he was teasing them, knowing that they were the best things that happened to Ed. He is remembered by his three brothers - Gordon (Karen), Lyle, and Eldon and their families - all from North Battleford area; and his sister-in-law, Eliane (Norm) and their family from Estevan. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Millie Sidebottom of North Battleford; in-laws, Duncan and Myrtle Wilson of Estevan; and his nephew Scott of Estevan. But these aren’t the only people who will miss him: Ed will be remembered by many friends both local and abroad
A Celebration of Ed’s Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Edward’s Chapel, Briercrest School, Caronport, SK. For those unable to attend, a livestream may be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/live/DGmW66cQDkc.
