A 30-year-old woman facing charges including attempted murder was denied bail in Moose Jaw provincial court on Tuesday.

Meagan Windover sat with her head in her hands, visibly crying as Judge David Chow delivered his ruling.

Details of the show cause hearing and the allegations presented during the proceedings are protected under a publication ban.

Windover is facing charges including uttering threats, failing to comply with an undertaking, mischief by misleading a peace officer, taking a motor vehicle without consent, failing to appear in court, theft under $5,000, and attempted murder.

As previously reported, the charges stem from a shooting that occurred on the North Service Road on July 14. Police say a man suffered a gunshot wound. Windover and a 17-year-old boy were identified by police as suspects.

Windover was arrested on July 15 following a police operation at Lakeview Trailer Court.

She is scheduled to return to Moose Jaw provincial court on Aug. 28.
