Team Saskatchewan held their official kickoff on Monday with the announcement of all the athletes that will be competing in the upcoming Canada Summer Games in St. John’s Newfoundland.
Hayden Kot from Regina was named Saskatchewan’s flag bearer at the opening ceremonies at the kickoff. Kot will be competing in both basketball and volleyball at the games.
In total, Saskatchewan will have 377 athletes competing in 19 different sports along with 85 coaching staff members and 26 mission travelling to Newfoundland.
92 communities from the province will be represented at the games.
