Swift Current had scored twice in the inning before their comeback fell short.
Casey Prychak went 2 for 5 and scored twice for the 57's.
Swift Current's Wilmer Henriquez hit his 11th home run of the season to tie the game at 4 in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
The 57's struggled defensively in the game making 5 errors.
Brodrick Bornstein pitched 7 innings for Swift Current allowing 7 runs, but only 1 of them earned.
Swift Current's Hudson Unger and Shaunavon's Mason Fauser made their debuts in the game for the 57's.
Unger walked and scored twice, while Fauser went 1 for 3 at the plate.
The two teams play again on Thursday at Mitchell Field.
Swift Current will re-brand for one night only as the Speedy Creek Ground Squirrels.
