Carnie's Comments
As a long-time member of the media, I understand content. I've got a pretty good grip on what most listeners and consumers in Saskatchewan are interested in. The topics, the stories, need to be compelling.
However, for the most part, when it comes to invading someone's privacy, I don't cross that line.
Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry for example - they went for a stroll in a park and dined together at a nice restaurant in Montreal. Someone got photos, someone got video and TMZ shared it with the world. They pay people for that content.
I mean, I get it but, I don't get why anyone would take photos or video of anyone without them knowing about it. It's just so unethical.
I've had brushes with fame before. I came face to face with Barbara Eden from "I Dream of Jeannie" in Las Vegas one day. I just smiled. So did she.
It was on that same vacation I dined at a table next to Dennis Rodman, the former NBA star. I enjoyed watching and listening as he entertained his friends, but I didn't snap a photo, nor did I interrupt his luncheon. I just moved on with my day with a good story to share.
That's enough for me. How about you?
