The excitement for the opening of Inspire is ramping up as it is only a couple of months away.
Jamie Moorhouse, the donor engagement champion for the library, expressed just how excited the library is for their new space.
"It is hard to put into words how excited we are about what's happening over at Inspire."
He explained that so far, the building is everything they could have hoped for.
"We cannot wait to get our books and resources moved over there and open the doors to the public."
Late in July, the library posted a video showcasing a sneak peek into Inspire.
"There was a little bit of a hiccup with some tariffs that were put on some items that we purchased. So our dollar didn't go quite as far as we'd hoped. But we are still on track to buy everything that we wanted to buy."
According to the library, this accomplishment is a result of the amazing cooperation of local citizens, companies, community partners, and library advocates who have united to promote the future of learning, culture, and literacy in Airdrie.
He concluded by saying the project is still on schedule to open at the beginning of October.
