Brandon streets have been alive with the influx of classic cars and trucks, all getting ready for the big show n' shine of the year, the Western Manitoba National Car Show taking place this weekend at the Keystone Centre grounds.
Many of these beautifully restored vintage vehicles came to town early to get in on the tours that brought these visitors to southwest Manitoba to some of our own favorite museums, burger dine-ins and car enthusiasts' personal collections!

Organizing committee chair, Dave Burba, says they're expecting upwards of 800 vehicles to be on display at this weekend's show, including classic cars and trucks, motorcycles and more - from every era imaginable.
"A lot of builds that were happening this winter will show up, both locally and from far away, " shares Burba. "We've got some very special vehicles coming in as well as TV personalities Mike Hall from Rust Valley Restorers and Avery Shoaf from Wildman Garage."
These two icons from the world of restoration will be in attendance tomorrow at the Keystone grounds.
Multiple competition will be taking place throughout the weekend, including the pin-up contest - which will feature both gals and guys dressed up in vintage clothing to fit the era of many of the vehicles on display.
"We had that at the last two shows and it's growing more and more popular," he explains. "It's just a good, fun costume party I guess you could say. Yeah, the girls and the guys look really sharp when they're dressed up like that!"
"There are just so many things happening over those two days," says Burba. "It's amazing what will all be taking place. It'll be packed full!"
"It's a great time to get together with all the other car enthusiasts and just have fun!"
$15 entry fee at the gate - cash only please. And 12 and under are free!
