Stephanie Green is ready for her road trip across Canada.
She won $10,000 in prizes last night in the Ultimate Giveaway of the summer.
"Amazing, amazing," Green said. "I'm very surprised. I had to read it to make sure it didn't say I didn't win."
With 1050 entries and 65 qualifiers, Green emerged the winner through a series of competitions at the Riverview Village Estates last night.
She then had to choose between four $10,000 prize packages from B&A Petroleum, Canadian Tire, Cypress Motors, and Living Sky Casino.
Green picked the "Hit The Road Trip Package" fueled by B&A Petroleum.
"I drive back-and-forth every day to Gull Lake every day for work," she noted. "The fuel is going to be really nice to help out with the drive."
The package Green selected includes:
$3,000 in fuel credits from B&A
$3,000 travel voucher (cabin, condo, RV rental, or hotel stays)
$1,000 grocery gift cards
$1,000 assorted gift cards for dining and fast-food attractions
$1,000 prepaid Visa for entertainment, activities
$1,000 gift card outdoor gear (YETI, camp chairs, cooler, portable propane fire table or heater, or portable propane BBQ, etc)
Our winner would like to use the package as an opportunity to see Canada.
"I like just travelling across Canada," Green said. "Something like that would be great because it's a beautiful country to go see."
The event started as our 65 qualifiers gathered inside Riverview Village Estate while DJ D Rock spun some tunes.
Country 94.1 FM's Chris Martens then introduced the festivities which began with each qualifier getting a cup with a certain colour.
Almost half of the competitors were eliminated in the colour game.
It was followed by a giant ring toss where everyone left was paired up for a one-on-one battle.
The winners advanced to the putting green at Riverview Village Estates. With 15 competitors left, only the four who put closest to the target advanced to the final four.
The Ultimate Giveaway was finally settled when each of the final four picked their package and unwrapped to see who had the winning certificate.
