July 31st Report:
Fail to Comply with Release Order
On July 30, 2025, at 4:30PM, Police located a 16-year-old female in the 700 Block of Rosser Avenue. The youth had been reported on July 29, 2025, for breaching a condition of her Release Order, specifically a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM curfew. She was arrested and lodged at BPS Detention Unit to appear in Court on July 31, 2025.
Fail to Comply with Release Order
On July 30, 2025, at 8:40PM, Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 1000 Block of 10th Street. A 32-year-old male, identified as the cause of the disturbance, was located and observed to be intoxicated. A Police records check confirmed the male was bound by a Release Order with a condition not to consume alcohol. He was found to be in breach of this condition and was arrested and lodged at BPS Detention Unit to appear in Court on July 31, 2025.
August 1st Report:
Breach of the Peace / Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
In the past 24 hours six individuals were arrested for IPDA and three for Breach of the Peace. All except one incident was due to high intoxication levels. Individuals were brought to BPS (Brandon Police Service), held in detention cells, and will be released once sober in the morning.
Arrest Warrant
On July 31st at 10:40PM a persons stop was conducted in the 600 block of Highland Avenue. It was confirmed the 49-year-old male had an Endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). He was released on scene via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 28th, 2025.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On August 1st at 2:37AM a vehicle stop was conducted in the 1700 block of Park Avenue. The vehicle had been operating without headlights. The driver blew two fails on the ASD (Approved Screen Device). His license was suspended for 90 days while the vehicle was towed and will be seized for 30 days. A ticket was given for Failure to Provide Drivers Licence as well as for Improper/Malfunctioning Equipment.
Breach of Probation / Arrest Warrant
On July 31 at 10:37 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance outside a residence in Westaway Bay. Upon arrival, officers located a male who is subject to conditions prohibiting contact with a female at the residence, thereby breaching those conditions. He was also found to be highly intoxicated, in violation of an additional condition prohibiting alcohol consumption. Furthermore, the individual had an endorsed warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody, held in BPS detention cells, and is scheduled to appear in court in the morning on August 1st, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On July 31st at 12:26PM a theft occurred from a business in the 1100 block of Princess Avenue. The suspect stole two bottles (appx $40) from behind the bar. The suspect was identified from surveillance footage. Police located and arrested the 24-year-old female in the area. The female was intoxicated and held in BPS detention cells until sober to prevent further issues. She will be released via Undertaking with a court date of October 9th, 2025.
Failure to Comply Undertaking / Theft Under
On July 31 at 2:52PM, staff from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported that an individual, who is under conditions not to attend the store, had entered the premises and was observed concealing merchandise. The female suspect initially left the store but returned shortly afterward and returned some of the items. The 40-year-old woman was arrested and transported to BPS for processing. She was released on an Appearance Notice with a scheduled court date of October 6, 2025.
Arrest Warrant
On July 31st at 3:11PM Police located a highly intoxicated female in the 300 block of 11th Street. She was found to have a Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation). She was arrested and held in BPS detention cells until sober. She will be released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 28th, 2025.
