Mother nature put an end to what has been a challenging WCBL season for the Swift Current 57's.

Local product Kyrell Adair hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning as the 57's cut Weyburn's lead to 7-5 last night.

That's when the sky opened up and a storm put an end to Swift Current's comeback.

With Tuesday's game against Lethbridge cancelled, the 57's are now forced to reflect on another season outside the playoff picture.

Swift Current's Ethan Bailey also hit a homerun in a losing cause.

The 57's dropped four games over the long weekend.

They fell 16-1 and 8-7 in Moose Jaw on Friday and Saturday.

The 57's then lost 16-8 to the Miller Express in Swift Current on Sunday before last night's final contest.

Swift Current wraps up the season with a record of 10-45.

It was their second consecutive season outside the WCBL playoff picture.
