Saturday, August 2nd Report: 

 

Assault with a Weapon 

On July 31, 2025, police responded to a report of an assault, where the suspect used a conducted energy weapon on the victim.  The suspect fled prior to police arrival.  

On August 1, 2025, police located and arrested the 39-year-old male suspect.  Upon his arrest, he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  

He was lodged and remanded into custody on charges of Possession of Restricted Weapon While Prohibited, Assault with a Weapon, Fail to Comply with Probation, Unauthorized Possession Restricted Weapon, Possession of a Restricted Weapon Knowing It’s Possession is Unauthorized, and Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. 

 Take Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent 

On July 21, 2025, a complainant reported that their vehicle had been taken without consent by an acquaintance on July 18, 2025, and caused the vehicle to be towed and impounded.  

On August 1, 2025, following a complaint of intoxicated individuals harassing patrons of the Keystone Centre High School Rodeo, police arrested several of the suspects.  One of them, an 18-year-old male, was found to be the suspect in the above noted vehicle complaint.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober and will be released to appear in court on October 9, 2025, on a charge of Take Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent. 

 Impaired Driving 

On August 2, 2025, shortly before 4:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 18th street.  The 21-year-old male driver provided samples of his breath and failed.  He received an Immediate Roadside Prohibition consisting of a 90-day suspension. 

 Arrest Warrants 

Over the past 24 hours (from August 1-2) police arrested one individual on outstanding arrest warrant. 

Alcohol related arrests 

Over the past 24 hours police arrested eight individuals on separate incidents for behavior caused by alcohol consumption. 

 

Sunday, August 3rd Report:

Impaired Driving 

Three individuals were suspected of impaired driving.  

On August 2, 2025, at approximately 6:30am police responded to a two vehicle MVA in the 2600 block of Rosser Ave.  One of the drivers, a 41-year-old male, provided samples of his breath and failed.  

On August 3, 2025, shortly after midnight, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1300 block of Pacific Ave with a 34-year-old male driver who displayed signs of impairment, however he refused to provide samples of his breath. 

On August 3, 2025, shortly before 2:00 am, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 2000 block of 18th street.  A 22-year-old male provided samples of his breath and failed. 

All three drivers were issued a 90-day suspension, and their vehicles were impounded.   

Breach of Probation 

On August 2, 2025, shortly after 6:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who had snuck into a business in the Corral Centre and was in the washroom.  The 33-year-old male was to abide by a condition not to attend the business.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 14, 2025. 

Break and Enter to Business / Vehicles Stolen 

On August 2, 2025, police received a report of a break and enter into a business in the 500 block of Rosser Ave. It is believed that a door was left insecure, allowing the suspect to enter.  Stolen were two laptops, as well as two vehicles as the keys were left inside the business.  One of the vehicles was later recovered as it had been left parked, unattended in the 1300 block of 7th street.  A blue 2015 GMC Terrain with MB l/p MOKSH is still outstanding. 

Alcohol Related Arrests 

Over the past 24 hours (August 2-3) police arrested two individuals on separate incidents for behavior related to alcohol consumption. 

 

Monday, August 4th Report: 

Theft of Boat and Trailer 

On the morning of Sunday, August 3rd, Police received a report of a theft of a boat and trailer from a residence in the 1500 block of Lorne Ave. The Lund boat was black in color with a mercury 150 Optimax motor, with “ProV Tournament” markings in red and white. The 18’ trailer has the license plate T351M and both were last seen the previous night around 9:30pm. 

Assault 

On Sunday evening at approximately 7:12 PM Police attended to a residence in the 600 block of 23rd St. after receiving a report of a disturbance at that location. Police determined that both parties had assaulted each other and as such a 31-year-old male and a 26-year-old female were both charged with assault and released on Undertakings to appear in court in October. 

Accused held for Court 

Just before 11:00 PM on Sunday August 3rd, Police received a report that a female victim had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The resulting investigation led to the 19-year-old male suspect being charged with assault and assault by choking. He was held at BPS cells to appear in Court in the morning. 

Breach of Peace 

  • Just after 7:30 AM on Sunday August 3rd, Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of Park St. An 18-year-old male was found to be highly intoxicated and causing problems. He was held at BPS cells to be released when sober. 

  • Just after midnight on Monday August 4th, Police attended a residence in the 700 block of Rosser Ave after receiving a call of an unwanted person outside the residence. When police arrived the 19-year-old male was still outside the residence and found to be highly intoxicated and aggressive, he was lodged at BPS to prevent further issues to be released when sober. 

  • At approximately 4:45 AM on Monday morning Police were requested to the 3400 block of Rosser Ave. after receiving a call about a fight having just taken place in the area. Both parties were located, and an 18-year-old male was found to be intoxicated and responsible for the altercation he was held at BPS to be released when sober. 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act 

Within the last 24 hours (August 3-4) 2 people were found to be highly intoxicated in public and held at BPS to be released when sober.
