The Okotoks Dawgs are sitting in the top spot heading into the West Division Semi Finals this week.

They played their final double header of the regular season on Monday (Aug. 4), which saw them have mixed results.

The double header was against the Sylvan Lake Gulls, and the Dawgs were able to win the first game, but fell to the Gulls in the second.

During the first game, the Dawgs were able to get out early with a three-run first inning.

The Dawgs were able to keep that lead and win with a score of 5 to 3.

In the second game, though, the Sylvan Lake Gulls were able to get five runs in the second inning and were able to hold the Dawgs at just three hits, shutting down the Dawgs.

The Gulls won the second game with a score of 8 to 2.

While this weekend saw one win and one loss, the Dawgs are ranked as number one in the WCBL west division and are set to host the first game of the West Division Semi Finals, which will happen on Wednesday (Aug. 6).

Of the 52 games the Dawgs played part of their regular season, the Dawgs won 37 and lost 15.

The Dawgs will be taking on the Brooks Bombers at Seaman Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 6, kicking off the WCBL playoffs.

First pitch will happen at 7:05 p.m.

The West Division Semi-Finals are a Best-of-3 series, with the winner heading to the West Division Finals.

The Dawgs had won the previous three WCBL championships, and they are aiming for their fourth win in a row.
