The Town of Claresholm’s annual Fair Days and Old West Jamboree is right around the corner.

From Aug. 7 until Aug. 10, the town will be filled with a variety of events and activities for all members of the family to enjoy, such as western and carnival games, live music, Candy Parade, rodeo, Show N Shine, BBQs, pancake breakfasts, and a chili cook-off.

Jamboree in the Park will kick off the four-day celebration on Aug. 7 at Amundsen Park with local talent including The Nanton Country Girls, The Willow Creek Cowboy, and Charlie Navratil, along with a Chili Cook-Off and Movie in the Park.

The long-standing Bench Show is returning, where local creativity and talent will be put on display.

The show will feature everything from artwork, handmade jams and jellies, kids’ crafts, sewing, baking, to handmade treasures.

Teams of three can race at the Museum Grounds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 8).

New additions to the four-day celebration include the Thursday Night Jamboree in the Park, Thursday Western Saloon Float Shop, a live Barbershop Quartet performance, Wanted Posters and Pie Punishments.
