Earlier this week, Chinook's Edge School Division announced a new Vice Principal for Ecole Olds Elementary School.
Stephanie Acreman will garner the role; she joins the school division from Fort Vermillion School Division, where she was a Grade 3 teacher and numeracy coach.
"I am looking forward to getting to know staff, students and the parent community of Olds Elementary," shared Acreman.
Chinook's Edge also shared that when she is not at school, Stephanie likes to spend time with her husband and two children. She enjoys visiting beaches, getting involved in the community, and taking in live music, comedy and theatre.
Last month, Ecole Olds Elementary School welcomed a new principal, Greg Ferris.
Ferris has been serving as a Student Services Coordinator at the division level.
"Greg says he has loved working with the team in Student Services together with school staff to ensure schools are calm, confident and connected - and supportive of students with diverse learning needs. He has loved seeing many success stories," shared Chinook's Edge.
At Olds Elementary, he is looking forward to working closely with the students, staff and community to ensure the students feel valued, supported, and challenged in their learning journey.
The school division has 12 schools in neighbouring communities, including Olds, Mountain View County, Didsbury and Carstairs. Chinook's Edge has a total of 11,000 students across 40 Central Alberta schools.
