Leonard Trofin, age 90, of Bengough, Saskatchewan passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 following a short illness.
Leonard was born in Kayville, Saskatchewan on April 7, 1935. In 1955, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he graduated from the Food Service School as a Food Service Attendant. Following discharge, he worked as a chef in various restaurants in Regina as well as the Plains Health Centre.
Throughout his life he was able to travel extensively, notably in Europe where he was able to connect with family in Romania. Leonard was also a skilled guitarist and vocalist and along with his brothers entertained family and friends.
Following retirement, he moved back to the Kayville area where he purchased a home in Dahinda. He resided there for several years before moving to a care home in Bengough. While there, he became an active participant in all activities. He enjoyed helping with the gardening as well as watching sports on TV, mainly baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Len will be sorely missed by his two surviving sisters, Violet and Frances. Also surviving Len are numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and USA.
Len was predeceased by brothers, Nick, Conn, Alex, Sam, Billy and Mack and sisters, Gustie, Ann, Marie, Virginia, Sally and Vivian.
A sincere thank you to all the dedicated caregivers at the Bengough Care Home who assisted Len with all his needs, helping him to live a comfortable life.
