After a break on Wednesday from the deluge on Tuesday, the forecast is once again calling for more showers and thunderstorms beginning today, with a low-pressure system set to move through the area. We could also get 10 to 15 mm of downpour overnight tonight.
"It looks pretty widespread and slow-moving, so it'll probably bring you in some showery weather through the start of the weekend," said Scientist Christy Climenhaga with Environment Canada.
While the mild wind coming from the southeast currently may keep the smoke from wildfires in north central Saskatchewan from affecting the air quality in the area, she said it is a real possibility that the cooler weather will shift the smoke into our region.
While Heritage Village Days will be a go, rain or shine, this Friday and Saturday, another City of Weyburn event may need to be postponed.
