The Guy Weadick Pro Rodeo is scheduled to happen this weekend.

Originally, the rodeo was scheduled to take place in June but was postponed due to heavy rainfall.

The weekend it was originally scheduled to happen saw upwards of 110 mm of rain in some areas of the Foothills.

At the Guy Weadick Pro Rodeo this weekend, there will be an opening ceremony before the fun begins.

There will be bareback bronc riding, ladies barrel racing, tie down roping, team roping, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, bull riding, mutton busting, and wild pony races.

A trick rider and Miss Rodeo Canada will also make appearances.

The Guy Weadick Rodeo will take place at the High River Ag Society from August 8 to 11, with the rodeo starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
