Environment Canada issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for areas of the Foothills today (Aug. 7) at 3:02 p.m.
The Warning is in effect for:
- Foothills Co. near Longview and Eden Valley Res
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to toonie-sized hail and heavy rain.
Driving conditions could become difficult.

Thunderstorms have developed over the Foothills this afternoon, which could become severe, with the potential of producing large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall.
