Some hockey connections on the ball diamond for the Shaunavon Cyclones.
They captured the Southwest Men's Fastball League Championship on Tuesday by beating the Claydon All Stars 16-11 in game three of a best-of-three final.
Claydon jumped out to an early lead before Shaunavon was able to pull off the comeback.
Former Regina Pat Dyson Stevenson picked up the win on the mound for Shaunavon.
Current Dallas property Kole Lind and Kirk Amon delivered what were described as key doubles to ignite the offence.
Lind signed a contract extension with the Stars this offseason after spending last season with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
