Facing elimination after dropping Game 1 on Wednesday night, the Saskatoon Berries turned to Merek Yeager for a crucial start on the mound for Game 2.
The Muenster product delivered with a quality start as the Saskatoon Berries hammered the Moose Jaw Miller Express 15-6.
With the win on Thursday night, the Berries evened the best of three series 1-1.
Yeager tossed six innings, allowing a pair of earned runs on three hits and recorded three strikeouts.
Saskatoon scored four runs in the second inning, before putting the game out of reach with six more runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Carter Beck and Cory Wouters each had three hits and drove in four runs to lead the Berries offensive charge.

The winner of the series will meet the Regina Red Sox in the East Division final after they completed a two-game sweep of the Medicine Hat Mavericks with a 13-7 win last night in Regina.
