Drivers are advised of several temporary road closures in Bentley today and Saturday (August 9) to accommodate the Bentley & District Agricultural Society’s annual fair events.

Today streets will be closed from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the annual fair parade, which begins at 1 p.m. and is presented by the Sunset Hills Riding Club.

The parade route runs from 50 Street to 50 Avenue, 48 Street and then 52 Avenue.

During this time, motorists are asked to access Bentley from the east side along 44 Street.

Later in the night the 52 Street service road, between the transfer site and 50 Street South, will be closed from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for the fireworks display.

The fireworks are scheduled for 10:15 p.m. on Railway Avenue, followed by a drive-in movie presented by Kroozin’ West.

On Saturday, August 9, a longer closure will be in effect Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. along 50 Street near Railway Avenue for the Kroozin’ West Show & Shine.

Registration opens on Railroad Ave at 9:00 a.m. with presentations taking place later at 3:00 p.m.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly.
