Bull riding, adrenaline-fuelled dirt racing, and classic cars will be featured in an all-new event coming to the southwest in a couple of weeks.
The inaugural event, sponsored by RE/MAX, is set for Saturday, August 23, at the Kinetic Exhibition Park's Magnus Arena and Swift Current Motor Speedway.
Rebecca Anderson, general manager for the Swift Current Ag & Ex, shared that all-event tickets are available up until August 22 for $40, while individual tickets in person are $20 for bull riding and $15 to stock car races or the cabaret.
"We're really hoping that we have a good turnout and are able to make it an annual event," she said. "Just hoping everyone will be able to come out, it's a one-day event and kind of a last hurrah to close out the summer."
Things kick off with a Show & Shine in the Kinetic Exhibition Park's parking lot from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with food trucks open from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. BRC Bull Riding action begins at 2:00 p.m. with stock provided by CS Bucking Bulls in Kyle.
PDRA tour stock car races gear up at 5:00 p.m., and the cabaret will take place at the saloon at 9:00 p.m. with live music from the popular Medicine Hat band, Fox and the Hounds.
"I heard from a lot of people great feedback," Anderson added. "Fox and the Hounds kind of helped us kick off the summer, and now they're going to close it out for us too."
