Shaunavon's Mason Fauser and Team Saskatchewan got off to a strong start in the Canada Summer Games baseball tournament.
Fauser went 2 for 3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored in an 8-1 Saskatchewan win over Alberta.
Former Swift Current resident Aiden Kilshaw walked three times and scored twice while hitting leadoff for Saskatchewan.
They take a 1-0 record into games with Quebec and Ontario in St. John's, Newfoundland today.
Fauser is also a member of the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires and a draft pick of the WHL's Swift Current Broncos.

SOCCER STARTS WITH LOSS
Swift Current's Griffen Striker and Team Saskatchewan lost 2-0 to Ontario in their first match of the men's soccer tournament.
Striker didn't start, but he came into the game in the 41st minute.
Saskatchewan plays BC today.
