It was an incredibly close final four dash for cash at the Battle of the North in Dawson Creek on Sunday.

Three of the fastest times of the day came in the final championship heat.

Chance Bensmiller pulled off the win, his second since winning it in 2008.

Calgary's Chanse Vigen came roaring through in second place with High River's Jason Glass right on his heels, with Obrey Motowylo's team placing fourth in the dash for cash.

Bensmiller took home the $30,000 cheque and the buckle as the wagons head to Rocky Mountain House now for the final chuckwagon races of the season before the championships.

DeWinton's Dayton Sutherland and Blackie's Jordie Fike finished well back of the top 10.

The Battle of the Rockies runs from Wednesday, August 13, to Sunday, August 17.
