The Lacombe Police Service is investigating a break-and-enter and theft at the City of Lacombe Public Works yard.

Police say the incident happened sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, when suspect(s) cut a large hole in the facility’s fence at 5444 56 Avenue and stole two pieces of equipment valued at about $5,000.

The missing items include a Champion generator and an Ammann 4-stroke jumping jack.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area during that time is asked to contact Lacombe police at 403-782-3279 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
