Saturday, the largest car show in Airdrie took place, the 2025 Doin' it on the Grass hosted by the Time Travellers Car Club of Airdrie.
Nose Creek Park was filled with all kinds of vehicles from the past, and plenty of Airdronians relived their past or learned about the older vehicles.
Kaleigh Clow, the president of the car club, was elated to see so many car enthusiasts enjoy the day.
"This was our 24th year of doing the show at Nose Creek. We had about 400 cars registered this year. Due to some construction at the park, we did have some areas blocked off, so it limited the amount we could have, but I think it went pretty well."
While it is difficult to track how many attended the event, she believes it is anywhere from 8,000-10,000.
"As soon as the show ends, we start planning next year's. So we never stop planning, and it just makes it all worth it to see all of the kids and the families out there enjoying the day."
She also explained that people from British Columbia and Saskatchewan attended the show.
"We have some people from the States who come out for this show. So it's amazing to meet these people and talk to them and hear their stories."
The next show will be a special one as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.
"We are going to try and make it extra special. We don't have confirmed plans yet, but we're hoping that it will be our biggest show yet.
The show next year will take place on August 8, 2026.
