More than half a dozen local motocross riders headed to Assiniboia this past weekend for Round 8 of the Saskatchewan Motocross Association's Provincial Championship Series.
The races geared up for Sunday at the Matt Kimball Memorial Track with camping and a barbecue on site.
Swift Current's Eden Kroeker finished in first place in the GP Beginner class, while Linden Notenbomber, also from Swift Current, secured second in GP Beginner.
Additional results for competitors from the Swift Current Motocross Association include;
- Adairia Dickie took third in the Ladies B division, in addition to coming in 14th place in the Superminis.
- Layton Dueck secured fourth in the Vet Junior class, as well as 19th in the MX2 Junior.
- Brett Ruf captured sixth place in the 50cc (ages four to six), in addition to 18th in the 50cc Open.
- Sawyer Ruf took seventh in the 65cc (ages seven to nine), along with twelfth in the 65cc Open.
- Zayde Notenbomber ended in ninth place in the 50cc (ages four to six), as well as competing in the 50cc Open.
- Tristan Shipley came out eighth in the 85cc (ages 12-16).
The southwest riders will next travel to Lloydminster for the Alberta/Saskatchewan Shootout Double Header on August 23 and 24.
