Four local swimmers had their first event of the Canada Summer Games today.
Swift Current's Rahimay Priebe finished 3rd, and Avery Underhill 7th in the first heat of the Special Olympics 100m Freestyle Women's race in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Swift Current's Tate Zimmerman and Gull Lake's Chayce Foster finished 2nd and 3rd in the first heat of the Special Olympics 100m Freestyle Men's race.
Zimmerman and Foster also finished 2nd and 3rd in the first heat of the Special Olympics 50m Breaststroke Men's race.
Underhill finished 5th in the first heat and Priebe 8th in the second heat of the Special Olympics 50m Breaststroke Women's races.

None of the local swimmers advanced to the final today.
They have events set for the next two days as well.
