Bike Cochrane’s LaunchPad is officially open — and ready to roll all year round. But riders are reminded to stay safe and respect the site as final landscaping and safety touches are wrapped up.

“It’s open to the public, but please respect fences and construction materials onsite as we finish landscaping and safety features,” said Paul Perrault, Bike Cochrane’s director of operations.

Located on Bow Common in the Quarry, just behind Garmin’s Canadian headquarters, the upgraded track is a game-changer. Its new asphalt surface means the LaunchPad can now handle wet and harsh weather without closing for repairs — a problem that plagued the old packed surface.

Not just for bikes, the smooth asphalt invites skateboarders and scooter riders to take on its twists and turns too.
