Okotoks Dawgs 4th consecutive WCBL Championship dream is over

The Okotoks Dawgs lost 8-4 last night in Sylvan Lake to the Gulls, thus ending their dream of winning a fourth consecutive WCBL Championship.

The Dawgs were swept by the Gulls in the best-of-three series, two games to none.

It's the first time the Gulls have won the Western Championship, as they now look to win their first league title.

The Gulls now face either the Saskatoon Berries or the Regina Red Sox for the Championship starting this Thursday.

The Dawgs finish the season with 40 wins and 16 losses.

The season comes to a close for some notable senior players, who are now moving on to play at the University level:
