The Eliminators Car Club is getting ready to pack Elmwood Park once again this weekend.

The 45th Annual Riverside Run is set to bring out the best of the automotive world on Saturday in Swift Current. This car show regularly features not only the Eliminators and their hotrods, but also a wide variety of southwest Saskatchewan's coolest rat rods, customs, full restorations, and passion projects.

Aaron Stewart and Doug Graham are both long-time members of the Eliminators Car Club, and are inviting everyone to sign up for the Swift Current Creek adjacent show.

"Everyone should come join us for what will hopefully be a beautiful day," said Graham.

The show isn't limited to only four wheels and road legals. Both motorcycles and racecars are welcome to come and show off at the show.

Set up is open before the show begins at 12 p.m. The show runs until 4 p.m., with prizes to be presented at the end of the event. Admission for the public is free, with entrant vehicles needing to both register and pay for it.

"We encourage you to bring a non-perishable food item for donation," said Stewart. "If you'd like to register, you can get it done at www.eliminators.ca."

The venue, being in Elmwood Park, provides both entrants and guests with a unique advantage: shade. The tree cover keeps the sun off both the cars and the people, with the grass providing a softer walking surface than pavement.

Stewart also announced that starting on Fridays at 7 p.m., the eliminators are inviting folks to join them for an evening cruise. It will leave at 7 p.m., and make an effort to roll past care homes in Swift Current.

"So that people who can't get out can maybe have an opportunity to take a look at these vehicles," said Graham.
