Residents of Muenster are reminded that work is beginning on chip sealing for three main roads in the community.
College Avenue, Main Street and Range Line Road will all be undergoing the process to provide smoother, stronger roads and better dust control. During this time, the Village of Muenster is requesting that drivers stay off the roads while they are being worked on. The roads will be ready for most traffic shortly after the seal is applied.
However, no heavy equipment or machines should travel on newly sealed roads, especially those large vehicles with metal tracks or wheel systems that will dig into the surface.
Service vehicles can access alternate routes to reach required locations. Bulk water hauling with heavy loads should be avoided until the road surface sets up which requires about 4 days. Area residents are asked to avoid bulk water hauling from the station until after August 15.
Any questions can be directed to the Village Office at (306) 682-2947.
