BASEBALL

At the Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland, Team Saskatchewan dropped to 2-2 in baseball after yesterday's 10-2 loss to Ontario and today's 2-0 loss against British Columbia.

Shaunavon's Mason Fauser didn't play against Ontario after playing the first two games for Saskatchewan.

Former Swift Current resident Aiden Kilshaw was 1 for 4 with a run scored in a losing cause.

Fauser and Kilshaw were both held hitless against BC as their starter, Dylan Demeyer, threw a complete game two-hitter. 

Baseball tournament playoffs start tomorrow.

SOCCER

Meanwhile, Swift Current's Griffin Striker started the match in Saskatchewan's 3-0 loss to BC in soccer last night.

Saskatchewan finishes the preliminary round at 0-2 without scoring a goal.

RUGBY

In Rugby 7s, Kyle's AJ De Necker and Saskatchewan dropped to 1-3 with a 31-10 loss to New Brunswick today.

They play BC tonight in quarterfinal action.

SWIMMING

Local swimmers were in the pool today.

Swift Current's Tate Zimmerman won the first heat of the Special Olympics Men's 100m backstroke, while Gull Lake's Chayce Foster finished third. 

Their times didn't qualify for the final.

Swift Current's Avery Underhill and Rahimay Priebe finished 7th and 8th in the first heat of the Special Olympic Women's 100m backstroke.
