A community gear swap aimed at helping local families keep kids active is coming to the SLS Centre next week.
From August 18 to 23, clean, gently used sports equipment and new school supplies can be dropped off at Guest Services between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Items accepted include hockey, ringette, figure skating, curling, soccer, lacrosse, racquet sports, baseball, basketball, volleyball, aquatics gear, running shoes in great condition, and new school supplies.
The donated items will be available at the Gear Swap event on August 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fieldhouse.
