Team Saskatchewan still sits with two medals - one gold and one bronze - after Wednesday's competition wrapped up in Newfoundland.

However, our athletes will have shots at the podium today and into the weekend.

The men's baseball team advanced to the semi-finals with an 8-7 win over Quebec in an extra-inning yesterday.

The men's and women's basketball teams along with our tennis team are in the medal rounds with competition moving into quarter-final action today.

Here's a look back at yesterday's competitions:

BASKETBALL (M & F)

  • Men’s: Team Sask is currently facing off against Team Newfoundland. As of this writing, Team Sask is up 67-65. After weathering a 3-point barrage from an unexpected source from Team NL, Saskatchewan came back from a 10-point deficit to draw even just before time ran out on the half. The momentum has continued into the fourth period.
  • Women’s team took the final game of their round robin against Manitoba to sit in first place of Pool C heading into the quarterfinals. They will face off against BC Thursday morning.
