Season two of the series drops next week, August 28, on Netflix.
A recap of the first season was recently released, with the next season just around the corner, reminding fans of what they saw in the first season.
To see the trailer for season two, watch below:
Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry are the lead roles in the series as they play Jackie, Cole and Alex.
The trio spent some time at the Calgary Stampede, which was when the trailer was released.
While both seasons were shot in Alberta, Season 1 featured several filming locations near Airdrie, including Crossfield’s Railway Street and Girletz Rodeo Ranch in Rocky View County. Those sites were not used in Season 2, according to Netflix.
The 10-episode first season, which premiered in 2023, told the story of 15-year-old Jackie Howard, a Manhattan teen who moves to rural Colorado after a family tragedy. She goes to live with her late mother’s best friend, who is raising ten kids, and soon finds herself torn between two of the Walter brothers.
Other local locations featured in the film include Cochrane’s Ranch House and Fence & Post restaurant, the Elbow River Launch in Kananaskis, and several Calgary spots, such as Heritage Park, the Jubilee Auditorium, the University of Calgary, and Splitsville Glamorgan bowling alley.
Filming for season three of the series is currently underway. Deadline reported that actor Chad Rook will join Season 3 as a recurring guest star in at least four episodes. Netflix has not released details about his character. Returning cast includes Nikki Rodriguez as Jackie Howard, Sarah Rafferty as Katherine Walter, Marc Blucas, Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, Connor Stanhope, Johnny Link, Corey Fogelmanis and Jaylan Evans.
