Rocky View County (RVC) is looking for residents who are interested in joining several different board committees.
"This is your opportunity to share your expertise, connect with neighbours, and play a role in shaping programs, policies, and services that impact daily life across the county," shared RVC.
Current vacancies according to the county include:
- Agricultural Service Board / ALUS Partnership Advisory Committee
Advises Council on agricultural matters and helps develop policies to meet the needs of our rural community.
Seeking: One member at large from east of Highway 2
Term: Three years (to expire in 2028)
Meetings: Five per year - Assessment Review Boards
Hears complaints and appeals regarding property assessments in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
Seeking: Four members at large
Term: Three years (to expire in 2028)
Meetings: As needed, typically in summer and fall - Family and Community Support Services Board
Advises on human services in the community, helping guide policies and programs under the FCSS framework.
Seeking: Two members at large
Term: Three years (to expire in 2028)
Meetings: Five per year - Bragg Creek FireSmart Committee
Works to enhance wildfire preparedness and safety in the Bragg Creek area.
Seeking: One member at large
Term: Two years (to expire in 2027)
Meetings: Minimum of two per year, at the call of the Chair - Subdivision and Development Appeal Board / Enforcement Appeal Committee
Hears appeals from the County’s Development and Subdivision Authorities, and enforcement order appeals under certain bylaws.
Seeking: Three members at large
Term: Three years (to expire in 2028)
Meetings: Every third Thursday
