The Bearspaw First Nation is asking for the public’s help after one of its four tipi canvases was stolen along the Trans-Canada Highway, just west of Calaway Park.
According to the Nation, the theft happened sometime between 6 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.
The Nation says the remaining three tipis will be taken down as a precaution.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact Cochrane RCMP at 403-932-2211 or Stoney Tribal Security Services at 403-881-2666.
