Women’s box lacrosse and women’s softball events came to an end for Team Saskatchewan, which featured players from Moose Jaw.

In the consolation game for women’s box lacrosse, Saskatchewan dropped a 3-2 loss to Manitoba. Saskatchewan’s box lacrosse team included Moose Jaw’s own Kyler Pladson.

Meanwhile, Team Saskatchewan finished in eighth place in women’s softball after a 4-0 loss to PEI on Thursday.

Moose Jaw’s Blake Maltais played right field in this game and went one-for-three at the plate. Fellow Moose Javian Ava Unser pitch one and one third innings and allowed three hits, four runs, while she struck out three batters.

Saskatchewan remains with two medals, one gold and one bronze, as the first week of competition wraps up.

Coming up in the second week of the Summer Games, athletes from the Moose Jaw area will be competing in men’s box lacrosse and athletics.
