The annual Fire Ball Cabaret fundraiser for the Weyburn Firefighters Association (WFA) is a highlight for many community members. However, due to scheduling conflicts it has been postponed from the original September 13th date. In fact, WFA president Mike Hudson says it won’t be happening this year at all.
“An unforeseen conflict has come up and we've had to postpone the fireball this year. We are looking now to put it on in the spring of 2026, which will be the new date for our Fire Ball.”
Not only has the date changed, but Hudson also says there are more changes to come, including the event name. Due to these changes, they will not be honouring the tickets sold for the original event, however full refunds are available now.
“Anybody that has purchased tickets, we are doing a full refund right now just because we don't know the date or what it will become in the future. You can contact either Jola Bell or contact myself or the fire department and on our Facebook page and we will refund your ticket money.”
