Federated Co-operatives recently purchased the remaining shares in six agricultural retail outlets owned and operated by the Blair Family Group of Companies.

FCL Vice President of Energy & Ag Ron Healey, says the joint venture with the Blair family has been a positive, mutually beneficial partnership as Co-op continues to grow its ag retail footprint across Western Canada; now four local co-ops will take over the operation of the six Blair Crop Solution outlets.

Starting September 2nd, the Blair Crop Solution locations at Nokomis and Lanigan will be part of the Riverbend Co-op.

Prairie Co-op takes over the McLean Ag retail location, Moose Jaw Co-op takes over Liberty, and Saskatoon Co-op acquires the Rosthern and Watrous Ag retail locations.

Riverbend Co-op will also acquire an ammonia bullet (tank) in Davidson, while Lake Country Co-op will acquire an ammonia bullet in Petrofka.

Kevin Blair, CEO of Blair’s Family of Companies says, “With the sale to Co-op, we know we have found a partner who will be dedicated to service, share our passion for our customers and whose values are firmly rooted in community."

In 2021, Federated Co-operatives bought the majority stake in the six ag retail locations and has now completed the overall purchase.
