Two Cochrane athletes are bringing home silver medals after dramatic finals at the Canada Summer Games on Friday.

Goalie Reese McKay helped backstop Alberta’s women’s box lacrosse team to a 4–2 loss in the gold medal game against undefeated British Columbia. She was named the team's player of the game for the third time at the games.

On the pitch, Lucas Kohlman and Alberta’s men’s soccer team pushed Quebec through 80 minutes of regulation, 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout before falling 4–3. The match was scoreless until the shootout.
